Manage the rotating header images
Add images, position them, edit their captions and remove old images.
Before you start: Sign in to the real Admin Portal as your community’s Community Admin. Use your own community details when following these steps.
How to use this lesson
Read the instruction, then look at the pointer on the example screen. Click or tap Next below when you are ready. The example screen is a demonstration. It cannot save, send or change anything.
“Select” means click once with a mouse, or tap once with a finger. You can go back, restart or take a break at any time.

Select “Homepage”
In the real Admin Portal, find Homepage in the left-hand menu and click it. On a small screen, open the navigation menu first.
Look at the example. Then select Next when you are ready.

Select “Homepage”
In the real Admin Portal, find Homepage in the left-hand menu and click it. On a small screen, open the navigation menu first.
Find Active header images
Scroll down to Active header images. These rotate on the app Home page and below the main public website header. The usual limit is four; use the limit shown on your screen.
Select Create new
Click Create new. If the maximum is reached, remove an old image before adding another.
Choose header image
Choose a wide, clear photograph from your device. Select the file on your device, then select Open or Choose in your device’s file picker.
Check the selected file
Wait for the upload to finish. This example uses community-hub.jpg. Your device’s file picker may look different.
Position the image
Drag the preview until the part you want to show is inside the header area.
Select “Text in the grey bubble”
Click or tap inside the Text in the grey bubble box.
Enter text in the grey bubble
Type your own details here. In this example, we have entered “Visit the Community Hub”.
Select “Optional link for the grey bubble”
Optional: enter the page address the grey bubble should open.

Type your own details here. In this example, we have entered “https://example.org/community-hub”.
Open “When visitors click it”
Click or tap the When visitors click it list to see its choices.
Select “Open in this window”
Choose where the optional link opens.
Check the selection
“Open in this window” is now selected in When visitors click it.
Save header image
Click Save header image and wait for it to appear in the active list.
Edit an active image
Change the text, link or crop in its card, then use its save button. Remove asks for confirmation before removing that image.
See the rotating image
The saved image is now included in the app and website’s rotating header area. It does not replace the separate public website header at the top.
