  2. Open the resident submission

Under Resident map submissions, click the pending item. It is not visible to residents until approved.

  3. Select “Name”

Check or enter a clear, accurate name for this place.

  4. Enter name

Type your own details here. In this example, we have entered “Defibrillator at Community Hub”.

  5. Open “Category”

Click or tap the Category list to see its choices.

  6. Select “Defibrillator”

Choose House for a home, or the matching asset category for a community resource.

  7. Check the selection

“Defibrillator” is now selected in Category.

  8. Place the pin

Click the map at the exact location. Drag the map to move it and use + or − to zoom. This portal picker places a pin where you click.

  9. Check the pin position

Check the marker is in the right place before saving. Move it again if necessary.

  10. Choose approval or rejection

Approve to map publishes a correct submission. Reject dismisses an unsuitable submission without adding it to the map. This example approves it.

  11. Select Approve to map

Click this button once and wait for the map list to return.

  12. Check the saved pin

The pin is in Shown on map. Publish controls whether residents can see it; switching it off hides it without deleting it.

  13. See the resident map

Published resource pins appear on the resident map. Residents can filter by community assets and category.
