Contact your community from More

Choose a recipient, complete the form and check it was sent.

Before you start: Open Community Ready and select your community. These examples use Community. You do not need an administrator login.

How to use this lesson

Read the instruction, then look at the pointer on the example screen. Click or tap Next below when you are ready. The example screen is a demonstration. It cannot save, send or change anything.

“Select” means click once with a mouse, or tap once with a finger. You can go back, restart or take a break at any time.

  1. Select More

    Tap More at the bottom right of the app.

  2. Find Contact your community

    Scroll down past Accessibility. The contact form is already on More; there is no separate Contact button to open.

  3. Select “Village Hall”

    Tap the organisation that should receive your message. This form has recipient choices, not an enquiry-category list.

  4. Check the selection

    “Village Hall” is now selected in Contact your community.

  5. Select “Your name”

    Click or tap inside the Your name box.

  6. Enter your name

    Type your own details here. In this example, we have entered “Alex Campbell”.

  7. Select “Your email”

    Click or tap inside the Your email box.

  8. Enter your email

    Type your own details here. In this example, we have entered “alex@example.org”.

  9. Select “Message”

    Use this form for a non-emergency enquiry.

  10. Enter message

    Type your own details here. In this example, we have entered “Please could you tell me how to book the hall?”.

  11. Select Send message

    Check your email address and message. Tap Send message once, then wait.

  12. Check that it was sent

    Look for Message sent to your chosen organisation. If it says Message could not be sent, check your connection and try again.
