Remove an Admin or Contributor
Remove a person’s community access while keeping all published information in place.
Last reviewed: 31 August 2026
Follow these steps
From the left menu, select Users.
Find the Admin or Contributor whose access should be removed.
Select Remove.
Read the confirmation carefully. It explains that their portal access will be removed and their managed content will transfer to you.
Select Remove user access to confirm.
What happens next
The person can no longer administer the community. Their published information remains available, internal content ownership transfers to the Community Admin, and the historical audit trail is preserved.
If something is not right
- Only the Community Admin can remove users.
- Removing access does not delete the person’s authentication record, so they can be added again later if required.
