Change user access privileges

Choose which portal areas and publishing bodies an Admin can use.

Follow these steps

  1. From the left menu, select Users.

  2. Select the person whose access needs to change.

  3. Open Access privileges.

  4. Choose Admin or Event Owner as intended. Event Owners cannot be given area or local-body privileges.

  5. For an Admin only, choose the areas they need, such as News, Events, Pages, Map, Emergency, Homepage or Local Bodies. Emergency access also allows the Admin to maintain the help-form delivery email.

  6. For an Admin only, choose the local bodies they may publish on behalf of.

  7. Save the changes.

What happens next

Their portal menu reflects the saved permissions. Community Admins retain access to all community areas, including Alerts and Users.

If something is not right

  • Give the smallest level of access needed for the person’s work.
  • If a menu option is missing, ask the Community Admin to check both the area permission and local-body access.
