Community Support
Receive requests for help by email
Receive private Request help forms in the community’s monitored mailbox.
Follow these steps
Under Settings, select Help form delivery and confirm the organisation-managed mailbox.
Restrict mailbox access to authorised coordinators and protect every account with MFA.
When a Request help email arrives, read the contact, location and request details carefully. If the request is about somebody else, check the person concerned, submitter and relationship fields before making contact.
If anybody appears to be in immediate danger, call 999 and follow your community's safeguarding procedure. Do not investigate through email.
When contacting a person named by somebody else, provide the relevant privacy information unless a documented legal exemption applies.
Use the community’s approved process for action, access, retention and deletion of the email.
What happens next
Community Ready does not create a portal record or track whether the request was read, assigned or completed. The community must manage that within its approved mailbox and safeguarding process.
If something is not right
- Call emergency services when someone is in immediate danger. The Community Support route is not an emergency service.
